Durfee Students Learn About Spanish DrĂ¡cula In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, students in the Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program at Durfee School screened the 1931 Spanish adaptation of DrĂ¡cula and enjoyed a captivating presentation from Alejandra Espasande, a film researcher and curator at the LA Cultural Preservation Society. Students Love Enrichment Fridays! EMCSD kicked off its first Enrichment Friday last month with the Robots & You theme and a successful outcome of joyful students. These optional school days offer students unique opportunities to explore themes outside the traditional classroom environment. EMCSD Receives $200,000 Food & Nutrition Grant El Monte City School District (EMCSD) nutrition services received a $200,000 grant from the California Department of Food and Agriculture, CA Farm to School Incubator Grant Program.
